    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this teacher if you do not like to write or if you do not have an organizational skills.

    Course highlights:

I learned many things about my writing style, and how to write a college level class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise that you keep on top of your work, and organise when things are due.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a requirement course. Lots of writing is done. A total of 5 essays. Key to this class is listen and take notes, then during your essays refer back to your notes and do exactly as she has explained. If you love writing, you will do great! If you have a hard time writing, do not procrastinate! She does give extra credit and is very nice.

    Course highlights:

Each English teacher is different. One must do the style of writing taught by the teacher. This particular teacher is an activist for immigration, therefore, I personally enjoyed it greatly.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Since this course is a requirement, I would advise to really get to know your teacher. Also, be on time for the pop quizzes. She will not allow you to take if you are late.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Leveston is a very intelligent, respectful man who will go to great lengths in order to get a student on the right path to success. In this English Composition class I learned how to write a variety of essays, for example: Narrative, Compare and Contrast, Argumentative and many others. This course goes as far as teaching and/or correcting basic grammar and sentence composition for those who have a hard time with that. Taking this English course will allow one to enhance not only their writing skills, but their reading skills as well. Which in turn will be of great help to find a job or resolve a problem.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were being able to work in groups and getting extremely helpful feedback from the professor. Working in groups allows people to hear different perspectives and points of view which can be helpful when writing an essay and attempting to appeal to a certain audience. During the writing process, I learned that a professors advice is very valuable. That is why I appreciate the fact that Professor Leveston took the time to read and evaluate my essays with his constructive criticism. Not only would one learn from the lectures in this class, but one would also learn from the experience of writing for this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

A student taking this course must have an open mind to helpful criticism and will-power to put in work out of class. Essays will not be written during class time, it will be on the students free-time.
