    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Larry Loomis Price is excited and enthusiastic about his subject and his students. He goes above and beyond to help students to succeed, and encourages them to think about science more than memorize textbooks.

    Course highlights:

This course focuses on proteins: structure, function, kinetics, and assays. We spent a large portion of the class learning about enzymes, and closed the semester with a few lectures on insulin, myoglobin, and hemoglobin.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to pass, attend every class. If you want to excel, attend every class, do all the homework, and go to at least one tutorial per week. If you want to ace the class, attend every lecture, do all homework, and go to all office hours. Have conversations about the material and practice. This class requires effort, but it is not impossible to do well.
