Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely reccomend this class! Dr. Cavicchi is an incredibly down-to-earth professor. She is a talented writer and has very interesting guest speakers at her lectures.

    Course highlights:

The major highlight of this course is that she refined our skills in writing APA. Being the proper format for psychological papers, APA is a very important part of a Psycholgy major's day-to-day writings. We learned how to critically think in situations that may compromise our patients or our licences.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

A copy of the APA manual is absolutely necessary for this course. If you do not like chatty professors, perhaps reconsider taking this course. There are quite a few group projects (maybe 2 or 3), but they are fairly intuitive.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me a new perspective when it came to thinking about ethical issues in psychology. I also learned how to write concisely for term papers.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me to put myself out there and how to network with professionals. I was able to interview someone in the field of psychology outside of school and it was so rewarding!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Participate in the class conversation. Classes are collaborative for a reason. Discussions allow you to apply what you learned in the readings or class material and also help to establish connections not only academically, but socially.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Cavicchi is a wonderful professor, she's incredibly down to earth and helps in any way possible. I wish I could have her as my professor in all my courses.

    Course highlights:

I learned extensively about the APA code of ethics and how to use critical thinking to avoid uncomfortable or code breaching situations.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not forget to read! Stanovich is a little wordy, but reading and writing down terms that stick out to you will greatly improve your exam grades. Also never be afraid to participate!
