Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was easily the course I have learned the most from. Ms. Johnson is a wonderful teacher. Respect her and she'll respect you. It was a fairly easy course if you kept up with your work and stayed organized with everything you needed to have. Ms. Johnson gives you all the tools to succeed, you just have to be proactive about it.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better understanding of writing and grammar techniques through this course. I was able to write essays on topics that actually meant something to me and I was given constructive criticism that I really took to heart. The homework assignments were enjoyable to me and I honestly took away a lot from this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your printouts and keep an eye on your calendar! Ms. Johnson provides you with all the resources, but you need to be responsible enough to print your stuff out and have it for when you need it. Ms. Johnson's calendar was extremely useful and it lays absolutely everything out. Don't be lazy! You can make this class easy or difficult. It just comes down to how organized and efficient you choose to be.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Harris is an exceptional English teacher. English has never been my forte, especially with all the "special rules" on grammar. However, Mr. Harris is thorough and clear when explaining material.

    Course highlights:

I use the knowledge Mr. Harris gave me daily. I work in a very professional environment where I am sending numerous emails a day to various people/companies. I gained confidence in my writing because of this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would not recommend taking this course over the summer if you struggle as a writer. We were given an essay every week, and sometimes multiple in one week.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course with five stars, because Mr. Harris makes it so fun to learn English. He enhances his teaching with personal experiences that pertain to the teachings of that day. He made English simple to learn no matter what level you related to it.

    Course highlights:

I gained better grammar skills, and how to summarize what I've read in simpler terms for everyone to understand. I also learned how to better retain what I've read so I could remember it for tests or essays later on. My essay writing also improved from his tips.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for this course is to pay attention to everything he says, because everything has a helpful tip in it to allow you to succeed through his teachings. Do not worry so much about word count on his essays as you do about the content that you put into it. Really pay attention when he summarized a piece, because I learned a lot from his summaries.
