Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This second semester English class is an insightful course with a combination of in-depth discussion, engaging reading assignments, and challenging but doable and comprehensive writing topics as well in mediums ranging from short stories, poetry, to drama productions. Overall, a very engaging course for me.

    Course highlights:

I've learned in-depth what to look for analytically, informatively, and even entertainingly in several mediums of literature such as the twists and ironic lessons of several short stories, engaging structures and creations of early and modern poetry, and the structure and plot design of drama. It's been interesting to learn also that English is not strictly reading words off a page or just quoting Shakespeare, but it is a way to look at the world differently and enrich life with more detail.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To pass this course, like all courses, turning in the work on time is always the key; effort is rewarded as long as the instructions are followed. However, a little bit more fine tuning and thinking outside the box along with the minimum requirements will get the achievement of an A. A good tip to follow on assignments that look very difficult at first is to read all the notes given with it; almost always there is a study guide or hints on how to do the assignment easier or better.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Every student in the state of Texas has to take this class eventually. You might as well take the best teacher.

The research paper/oral presentation section of the class. She works diligently with you to make sure that you achieve the grade that you deserve.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take Lori Truman. Seriously, most other teachers are not nearly as committed to their students as she is.
