    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class greatly improved my understanding of United States history. I took it as a junior in high school, and made the highest score on the History STAAR Test that my school has had a student make in several years. The assignments are easy to understand, yet teach what is necessary and facilitate the understanding of the curriculum.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of the course was the semester essay at the end, where we were required to read a historical novel and answer a thesis question concerning the work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise all students to read the textbook prior to all assignments. Many students did not do well; however, reading the textbook will facilitate the understanding of the classwork and the history itself.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because studying the history of our country allows us to learn from the mistakes of our ancestors so we do not do the same things they did and work to become a better place.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is that it helped me understand why we live the way we are living and why we are where we are as a species and country.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students that are considering this course, I suggest to do all the reading of the chapters that you are required to read, that way you can get a good detail understanding of how majority of history events occurred. Also, participate in class discussions inside and outside of class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Relyea injoyed teaching her material. She really wanted her students to learn history.

    Course highlights:

Development of the 13 colonies all the way up to the civil war.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to class and pay attention to lectures she is a good teacher. Study all "class materials" on black board, specially "class notes" before every test.
