    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for those who enjoy intensive reading.

    Course highlights:

The highlights in this course, in my opinion, would have to be Reproduction.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise to pay close attenion to what you are reading.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because it is tailored to individuals who are non-science majors and can allow even the most stubborn academic individual to view and enjoy the field of science in a fresh new light. Both the lab and lecture professors spend a critical amount of time during each and every session to ensure that every student is confident in their learning ability and that they are comfortable with the knowledge that they have retained. If a student wants a moderate challenge in biology, but still strives to have a good dose of entertainment with their fellow classmates, then this is the course for that student.

    Course highlights:

Before taking this course, I only had a minimal understanding of the field of biology and of science in general. Today, as the final days of this semester are approaching, it is tragic that this course has to end. I have learned numerous amounts of scientific information, including information about the human body, mitosis, meiosis, plant life, cell structure, and more. These subjects have allowed me to delve into an unfamiliar world and discover things that I did not know prior to taking this course. Having this course under my belt was a joyous occasion and an absolute pleasure.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The most critical advice I can share comes in three different forms; be prepared to cooperate with classmates, be prepared to think critically, and be prepared to study thoroughly. Cooperating with classmates is a vital component of the lab sessions and is a necessary quality to possess in order to succeed in the class. Without cooperation, students will be unable to retain the information presented in labs. Thinking critically will occur at various points throughout the course and is required in order to fully grasp the information that is presented. In order for a student to thrive in this course, they must be prepared to use their brain. Studying thoroughly sounds like a monumental task, but the pressure of it is alleviated due to the amount of study material that students are given to help prepare for exams. With proper time management and study patterns, every student will succeed with flying colors.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

General Biology was a great class! Mrs. Smith is a great teacher who is very passionate about biology. Having her as my teacher allowed me to really understand biology a lot easier. I really do recommend taking this course because it is also very interesting to understand how everything works together.

    Course highlights:

After taking the course I was able to understand what the different organs are and how our body functions. My favorite part of this class was going to lab and dissecting. Dissecting a pig allowed us to see the different organs and we learned that the organs of a pig look very similar to humans.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I would say is study and complete every assignment assigned. The exams that you take are all over the information that you cover in the unit. If you study and understand the information, the class will be easy.
