    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are working towards a business degree or any other degree with some math basis, having a basic understanding of statistics and how they are solved for will be beneficial.

    Course highlights:

Learning the Empirical Rule was the best part of the course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take this course online unless math comes very very easy to you. It is a difficult class and face to face instructions will make the difference.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you have a hate and love relationship with math. Statistics sounds tough, but it is honestly not that bad.

    Course highlights:

I am currently still enrolled in this course, and I have finally realized why math is important. It is not just about wrecking your brain by trying to figure out the answer to a problem, but more about enhancing your knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to set aside 3-5 hours of your time just for math only.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

While the class does cover all the necessary material, it also involves a large amount of brute force work. This massive amount of work not only wastes time, but leads the student to find alternative methods for solving problems other than learning the material.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to find confidence intervals for data, as well as how to give accurate probabilities for certain situations. I was amazed by how complex statistics was, and enjoyed solving its mysteries.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Spread out the work load. You will get burnt out if you attempt to do all the assignments on one night.
