Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

There are plenty of things we take for granted. The small things (pun intended) are often overlooked by many people. Taking this class allows you to explore a whole new world.

    Course highlights:

I've learned potential mistakes that could have easily been avoided such as washing your hands properly. The importance of practicing Aseptic methods has been one of my utmost priority on my daily routine.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Treat microorganisms like dangerous predators who are always out to get you. Even though they are small, they can cause a lot of damage. Pretending that they're bigger than they seem helped me remember the names and their properties better because I treated them differently.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Besides being required for most medical majors, It is very interesting to understand how cells work. The immune system alone is impressive with so much collaboration of various cells and organs. You'll learn how hard your body works for you each and every hour of your life.

    Course highlights:

The immune system was the most interesting. I learned that the body is constantly under attack from infections and viruses.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study before the course begins if you can. Read ahead. If you get bored, imagine yourself taking the exam and not knowing anything, then use that panic to focus. The reading can be boring, so it will take some time. By reading ahead, you can read in sections instead of reading a whole chapter in one day. Take lots of notes. Chemistry and Biology background is very helpful
