    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This helps you understand the availability in your community, which also helps you succeed at college.

    Course highlights:

This course has helped developed my understanding of society and cultures; it has expanded my world view and educated me on society from many different perspectives; it was great to learn in depth about society. This course also helped how I looked at the world and the inner workings of society and to be more critical in my thinking and participation of said society; I learned a lot about social inequalities in my own country, and as a result, I have started to look more closely at the system in place that produces such inequalities.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Really read the textbook if one is available to you, and do your work early, so if there are any mistakes, you can rectify them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class teaches diversity and acceptance. As human beings we forget that we are not all the same. We tend to judge groups when they are different. We are all one.

    Course highlights:

I have learned to be open and accepting to other cultures. We learned about history of famous scientist, professors, and theorists who shaped the term sociology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This is like a history class so I recommend taking good notes and studying definitions on flash cards.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Homann knows how to keep students interested in the topics through real-life examples, lively discussions, and fascinating analogies! He also works hard to help his students improve their research, analysis and writing skills through constructive criticism and by providing them helpful reading material.

    Course highlights:

The most important thing I learned from this course was how to read a paper written in the social science language, as well as writing intricate, solid essays about these same topics. I also learned about our society's dynamics of oppression and privilege in a brilliant way that I will never forget.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to read the book to pass this course, since the quizzes are based on that material. You're also encouraged to attend all classes, so you witness the additional information that Dr. Homann provides.
