Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was phenomenal. The professor, Mrs. Johnston, was by far my favorite professor at Lone Star College. She taught useful material that will be used throughout my life. We learned about how to prepare for real-life situations such as how to write cover letters and build up a résumé. We also learned about financial matters and how important it is to save money and spend wisely. These are just a few of the extremely useful things that were taught in this class. It is such an open environment and Mrs. Johnston genuinely cares about the well-being of all of her students.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course we learned about a variety of different topics. A few examples are financial aid and college resources, planning on how to save money, personality traits, and career projects. The topic that stuck with me the most is when we learned about our personality traits. This topic covered everything from the careers that fit your personality type to the type of people you work best with.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to be successful in this course, you must be willing to pay attention and do your work. That may sound repetitive, as most professors will say the same thing, but I truly mean it. You will learn useful knowledge that will apply to you in your life at one point or another. There is plenty of class time dedicated to coursework and Mrs. Johnston does this so you are able to get any help you need in order to succeed. If you put the effort in, it will surely benefit your short term and long term goals.
