    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She was a great professor that was truly passionate about the subject and her desire to teach others what she knew.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about color and the power lines, colors, and patterns can have on a piece and help enhance the emotions that a piece of art can give.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to study for the course and quizzes she gives, you won't be able to pass if you don't. Take notes in class and pay attention to the lectures, they are very interesting and can really help you in the long run.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only do my interests in design affect my love for this course, but the professor made it even greater than just design. Professor Omori made it a class about more than just design by exploring how design and art relate to life lessons that can be applied to the future whether you are entering the design field or not. This class allowed myself and others to discover ourselves a little more and experience what we are truly capable of; even anticipating for what's yet to come through our skills.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were learning and exploring what my hands and mind were capable of. I never thought I could paint a very detailed replica of a Rene Magritte piece. My greatest lesson learned is to always challenge myself because that is the only way I am able to expand and grow as a person.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Always challenge yourself. Do your absolute best, go out of your comfort zone, accept constructive criticism and you will succeed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was such a great starter class for any type of designer! I learned so much about the foundation of Design. Every Time I work on something now, I always think back to what I have learned at this class. The projects were fun and energetic, I really enjoyed them!

    Course highlights:

The Elements and Principles of Design. I learned how to have meanings to what I am creating, the right structure and proportion for a project and conducting criticism. We would use the elements and principles and do projects over each one of them. After each project, as a class we would critique each other.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You will need the textbook for studying for the test and to use the right vocabulary during the critiques. Please take this class if you are a beginner designer! This will help you to actually learn more about the right ways of designing.
