Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

English 1310 gives both writers and non-writers the ability expand their view on social, political, and philosophical issues seen throughout today's current events and relate them to the past.

    Course highlights:

DISCUSSIONS! By having open floor discussions allowed the class to express their opinion and gain a new perspective on other students' views and beliefs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Write, write, and re-write your essays! The best way to succeed is to review your work. No matter how perfect your essay may be, you are always able to improve and dive deeper into your string of thought.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a teacher with a patient and respectful disposition about teaching and interacting with students. I guarantee that any willing student will like this professor and learn something by the end of a semester with her.

    Course highlights:

Getting to discuss the psychology of memes, and reading relevant material each week, as well as just hearing about our instructor, someone considered part of our same generation of millennials, and her insightful and funny opinions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Fill your calendar with her course's deadlines. Have genuinely curious conversations or discussions with her. If you sense that in the first month you can't maintain doing multiple readings of literature/material and annotating, read class material once, and as soon as you're aware it's assigned. Getting through this will often STILL give you more information by the week than people that never did this. If you find this takes hilariously too little of time after another month or so, steadily increase the time and thoroughness with which you treat the material every week, and find a balance to work with in enough time before final exams come!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She is not a very good teacher in my opinion. I learned way more in high school than I did with her. She is also a very harsh grader.

    Course highlights:

I'm happy with the readings that we did in this class. I learned how to connect these articles to my own essays in a smoother way than I would in highschool.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Plan for a lot of reading and a lot of awkward time in class. She likes to give out group assignments a lot too.
