Great Intro to the Subject
Pretty easy, overall.
This course is not only over an interesting subject the teacher is hilarious, knowledgeable, and experienced in the psychology field. I specifically took other classes with this professor because I liked how he taught so much. He provides so many opportunities for you to excel in this and all his other courses it's near impossible to fail if you're putting any effort into the course.
There were several different points in the class that taught me things I hadn't known before. One major point being over how shrouded sexual education and public view on sex had been before the early 1900's. One of the main things we studied nearer to the beginning of the course was Kinsey's books that he published in 1930-50 which consisted of THOUSANDS of interviews and one-on-one sessions with Kinsey to determine America's sexuality. It had things ranging from how much sex people had to how much they thought about sex to what the dirtiest kinks they had. They were dubbed "America's Sexual Report Card" and opened the eyes of America to "everyone thinks about it, everyone does it" which made talking about it much easier. Of course there were major repercussions for some of his work, but I don't want to give everything away. Barnett would show funny and applicable videos every now and then to spice up the class (as if it weren't already a fun class) so that was cool too. He does it in his other courses as well.

Advice for students:
Print out the slides that he posts online and take notes on the slides. As long as you take notes in class you'll be perfectly fine for his tests. He doesn't do a final and none of his tests are cumulative, they're all by section. Oh, and make sure to do the SONA points too!
