Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Petros teaches the subject in a way where she can connect with the students in her class so that they can really learn the material. She covers the concepts and doesn't add extra stuff, just what is necessary to be successful in future courses.

    Course highlights:

To be successful you need to learn concepts, and in this class that's what you get. You learn how to do the work and how they can be applied as you participate in the lab portion of the course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Chemistry is a tough subject for many people. My best advice would be to always study the material covered in class the day of so that it is fresh in your memory and you won't get behind on studying for upcoming tests. Go to study sessions, do the practice problems, Khan Academy something if you don't understand. Use any outside resources as necessary to understand something.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is a basic requirement. It was a nice overview of several concepts.

    Course highlights:

The foundations of chemistry. Everything from stoichiometry to thermodynamics and introductions to organic chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook. Show up to most if not all of the lectures. Take notes on everything, and do the homework, even if it's not required. If you're not a whiz at chemistry, you will need every bit of exposure to the material you can get.
