Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because of the critical thinking that goes on in the course. Although I suffer from public speaking, the professor and TA's will help me throughout the course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights are the lectures. The professor is animated and keeps the class active. Someone is always participating in the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a lot of memorization. Start early and if you're new to memorizing things, play around with techniques. For example, I like to write it down and carry it with me. In my free time I rehearse it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This performance communication class has been the best class I have taken in college so far. Professor Vaughn made this class even more intriguing than it already was for me. As we learned new topics in the class we would perform our lesions and the lesions stuck with me better than it would have if I was given a test. Performance is abstract and I learned that through this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was when we did our group performance. This consisted of using one of the avant-guard movements, which our group was assigned the Bauhaus movement and we had to create our own performance using that movement around justice. I made new friends and incorporated our minds to build this super weird performance that ended up becoming a great performance for our instructor. This class taught me the true meaning of performance.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To any student considering this course I recommend you never wait last minute to memorize a piece because you will regret it at workshop when you're standing in front of the class stuttering because you keep forgetting your lines. Also to enjoy yourself in that class and embrace your inner performer.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class is really fun if you don't mind getting up and performing in front of others!

    Course highlights:

A lot of performance skills and how it relates to real world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you memorize early and really prepare for the performances. Honestly I missed the midterm entirely and still pulled off a B for the class!
