Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course allowed me to broaden my knowledge in Biology and become hands on with the material.

    Course highlights:

The experiments were the highlight of the course. By dissecting and getting your "hands dirty", it was amazing to see how complex some organisms are.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in the course, you must be on top of reading the lab instructions before class to get an idea of what you will be doing in lab that day.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was wonderfully hands on. All the concepts were detailed by both the Teaching Assistant and the Laboratory book, and the students had near free reign to learn the concepts using the tools we were given. In some experiments, once we had finished the experiment, we could continue inspecting the subject using different tools, going further in depth by ourselves.

    Course highlights:

I learned about basic Cell Biology, Meiosis, Mitosis, Photosynthesis, Cellular Respiration, different classes (Anthropoda, Gastropoda, Echinodermata), Plant Structure, Plant Reproductive Structure, Animal Structure, Animal Reproductive Structure.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't slack off, and always, ALWAYS, read the book before the lab. If not, you will walk in not knowing what the goal of the day is, and will have to spend the entire 3 hours and 30 minutes there. For the practicals, study hard beforehand. Read the textbook and go over the TA powerpoints. For the dissections, watch the videos beforehand, or you will really have no idea what to do, and the TA will not help.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a challenge.

    Course highlights:

I learned that any course can be pretty easy going if you attend each class day and pay attention and interact with the lesson ask questions and go outside the box. Also go to your professors office hours to get that extra in detail lesson.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not skip any classes unless you absolutely have to! All the information will be provided but you have to attend class and actually pay attention.
