    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would absolutely recommend this course to any student that is even considering a degree in kinesiology. By learning the basics, students will be able to determine if it is a major which they are interested in pursuing. Because it is an introductory class and does not have any prerequisites, it is a beneficial class for both committed kinesiology majors as well as those who are on the fence about their major. Regardless of whether students are interested in the material covered during the course, I can almost guarantee that the class will be enjoyable solely due to the positive attitude that Professor Judd radiates. This course is definitely worth getting out of bed for - I always looked forwards to her lectures!

    Course highlights:

In the Introduction to Kinesiology course, I learned the professional skills required for a career in the field of kinesiology, the best way to obtain these skills (through education and otherwise), and the different professions to which these skills can be applied. For kinesiology majors who have not decided on a career path yet, it is very beneficial to not only learn all of the options, but also the requirements and pros and cons of each career. Professor Judd also brought in guest speakers fairly regularly to give the students insight into some of these profession and to allow us to begin forming a professional network.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, all that you really need to do is go to class and pay attention to the lectures. The strategy I used to be more adequately prepared was taking notes on the chapter before the lecture so that I could just add supplemental notes rather than trying to write down every bit of information from the lecture. To study for test, I would suggest reviewing notes and taking the optional practice quizzes that Professor Judd places on Blackboard for student to utilize.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class really helps students decide what they want to do with their future. There are many guest speakers who come from a variation of large organizations, including people in the industry of chiropractics, personal training, physical therapy, and pre-health advising. The majority of the guest speakers also offer internships.

    Course highlights:

Every class is a highlight in this course, whether it's a lesson or a guest speaker. The professor creates an awesome learning environment with her care and charisma, which makes every class enjoyable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The most important thing is just to show up to class. It is also very important to take notes in class; the professor has power points, but not all the information is on them. The tests are open notes.
