    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry is a great course for science majors. This course will be one of the major foundations to other science courses. A great majority of the contents of this course remain relevant throughout a science majors' career.

    Course highlights:

The major highlights of this course included mathematics, calculations, laboratory experiments and team work. I learned how to retain information so that I was able to perform the labs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to successfully achieve an "A" in this course, one must take diligent notes, and ask questions. It is easy to get behind when one doesn't understand a concept. In this course, concepts build on each other.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would tell anyone who does not need to take this course not to take it simply because it doesn't teach you anything. It's really a waste of time even if you happen to get a decent T.A. The labs for beginning chemistry are just awful, everything is dirty or broken. If the course is required, I would suggest doing your own reading and watching videos of what the experiments should look like and teach you.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, the one thing I did take away from this course was that you have to put in the extra work. Because the experiments were so ineffective, I needed to do extra reading and studying to make sure I knew what was going on.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Watch the experiments online so you know what is supposed to happen.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class isn't hard if you pay attention during the lectures.

    Course highlights:

He makes funny jokes but is hard to follow and goes out of order when teaching topics in class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Haven't had chem for 3 years so it was hard to keep up, if you take AP Chem you will be fine otherwise you're going to have to study!!
