    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, although difficult, because it is very insightful and really helps in understand the microbial world we live in. It is a tough course, but it honestly just prepares you to work hard later.

    Course highlights:

One large highlight of this course was being able to culture bacteria from the environment around us and being able to experiment and run tests on the bacterium in order to determine the species.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, not to sound cliche, but the textbook must be read while taking in depth notes. Never skip of figures of tables and always remember to study ahead of time because cramming before a test will never work. Also, form a group with some classmates and review the information.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The knowledge you will learn in this course would be vital information for career purposes. The students decide the outcome and the labs of this course which puts you in control of your curriculum. Having all the prior knowledge of science and its application and relating it to real life situations and scenarios is required. Critical thinking is the basis of this class and is constantly being applied.

    Course highlights:

The control the students had on their curriculum that made your feel more like a scientist compared to a student who is just fed information without applying it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard and keep a positive attitude, become interested in the studies so that is will propel you to read and come up with your own hypothesis.
