    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me many great things and the professor was very approachable. She made the subject matter very interesting to students.

    Course highlights:

I learned to be more analytical when reading literature. I gained reading comprehension skills that I continue to use to this day.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to read the textbook otherwise you will not pass the course. Students also have to study and do homework at least 2 hours a day.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives students the opportunity to further their writing skills and advance reading skills as well.

    Course highlights:

My favorite aspects of this course were the film reviews. Students were given the opportunity to watch a film in class, and then conduct and essay discussing the film. I learned how to construct a well written essay with a clear thesis in this course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to have a homework assignment each night and to prepare multiple drafts to each of the essays.

    Course highlights:

Learning that there is a career in English. Reading interesting short stories and analyzing them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the reading and write whatever you think of it under the professor's requirements. Critical and creative thinking are both helpful in this course.
