    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because I feel like Zapata taught me a lot and I appreciate the knowledge. However, the class is not easy. If you do not have a strong background in chemistry the tests are extremely difficult. There were 10 people in my course who dropped halfway through the semester. If you are willing to put in the work, Zapata will give you the knowledge but maybe not the grade you want.

    Course highlights:

Gaining a better understanding of Chemistry and being able to have a strong base for my next course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Going to office hours will greatly improve your chances at getting a good grade and will help your understanding of the material.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I found that this class was no where near as hard as it really seemed. As long as a lot of effort into studying and you potentially find a good tutor, it is possible to do very well in the class. However, I found that the teacher doesn't really teach and the test questions are a bit more complex than what is learned in class. I found that to be a great obstacle in the class, but the teacher is a very nice person and I would recommend attending office hours regularly to ensure success!

    Course highlights:

Through this course, I did learn a lot more about the basics that were taught during my high school years. On a non-academic aspect, it taught me to stay on track and to not deviate in my studying when it comes to preparing for a course because I experienced the negative consequences of that.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I strongly suggest that every time you leave class you review the material learned in class and try to make connections with information that was learned in the past. I also think that allocating time to meet with professors and making an effort to figure out what kind of questions the teachers prefer to ask on tests. This will most definitely be beneficial to success in any course.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because the professor teaches very well, and if you need help, she goes out of her way to help you. The class is challenging, but with handwork it pay offs and you understand the material.

    Course highlights:

My highlight was having a D after my first test, and making it to an A. My hardest lectures were the Lewis Structures, and with so much studying and practicing on my own, that was the test I did best on.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice to take this course, because the professor is great and the way she teaches will help you with further chemistry along the way. It does require putting in a lot of studying and practicing into.
