    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Recinos is very friendly and will not put you down for sounding very obviously like a non-Spanish speaker. He answers any questions you might have willingly. There is a lot of class participation and actual speaking in Spanish, and tons of group and partner work. He often assigns homework in addition to the work already mandated in the course, but you will definitely learn some Spanish!

    Course highlights:

By the end of the course, I felt comfortable enough with the amount I had learned to hold a conversation with an actual Spanish speaker.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the homework- it helps to practice it in the comfort of your dorm while you're not surrounded by classmates! Start studying for the midterm and final early, there is lots of information and cramming will not work- take it from me.
