    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    He taught the class much higher than the freshman level that it was and was unconcerned, or engaged, in the student progress or concerns.

    I learned to do research on the professors I take before the class begins

    He was an overall good teacher. He likes students to participate in his classes.

    He likes student participation, and I learned a lot about arguments.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    While taking this course i was exposed to various moral dilemmas the world faces. Instead of having a teacher tell me how i should feel about an issue, i was given the resources to actually learn about both sides of the argument and choose which i felt was right. I honestly loved taking this class because it really opened my mind to other points of view and it allowed me to expand my horizons. I think that this is a class that everyone should have to take because of the fact that so many people are so stuck in their beliefs that they refuse to event think about things in a different way. This class really helped me to be able to look at things differently.

    Course highlights:

    In the course i learned about various perspectives on the topics that cause the most controversy in today's society. It allowed me to be presented with multiple ways to look at difficult situations, such as terrorism, abortions, animal testing, and the death penalty. By teaching the multiple perspectives on the issues i was able to really choose what to believe myself, instead of having someone tell me what to believe in. Something that really stood out to me during the course was that the teacher would often have class discussions which really helped to get even more perspectives and the teacher would never say they were right or wrong, because he would reassure people that there was no right or wrong. Just their opinion. This course taught me about not only problems our world is facing, but that sometimes things that you believe are wrong can actually be a necessary evil, that one must do to prevent other things.

    Advice for students:

    In order to succeed in this class one must read. I read each chapter that was assigned and also had numerous meetings with the professor to discuss any topic that i was unsure of in class, and also had him help me with my paper that was required at the end of the semester. Also in order to get through this class i would recommend a study group with another student so that you can compare notes and talk about the topics and see if they can explain anything you do not understand better than the professor can. I often met with another student weekly to go over each other's notes and combine our notes and the book so we could get a full understanding of the topic.
