    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is an amazing course with an amazing professor. A word of warning though, it is very difficult. Please be prepared to face tough challenges and stay ahead when you are doing the labs he assigns because they are thorough. Use your classmates and people that have taken the course before to help you through the labs if you do not understand the concepts but DO NOT copy! You will get caught and he will fail you. Before taking this course learn a little bit about the ADA programming language because this is what he will be making examples for labs from. Study the algorithms, you need them for not only the test but for job interviews in the future. This is by far the most important course as a Computer Science student. Learn, do not shy away from this challenge.

    Course highlights:

Highlights: The difficulty of the course was challenging and refreshing. You learn how to write actual packages of software, not just a few lines of code. You learn how to manage your time and balance multiple projects at once in this course if you haven't already. You learn all the fundamental algorithms.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study everyday. Download the Burris Bible that he gives you. Read it. Read it. Read it. Get together with a few others to study. Locate the people that get it. Also realize this course is tough and rise up to the challenge. Also, make friends with Burris. Once you get past the intimidation factor he's a really nice guy and a wonderful mentor.
