    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Must have a little bit of basic understanding about Accounting. I took the course in the summer which is 5 months of work crammed into 10 weeks - pretty intense but doable. Dr. Strawser what extremely passionate about his teaching and very knowledgeable. He would work with us in class to make sure we understood the topic. He worked a lot of problems on the board as examples to make sure we understood the assignments. Would not recommend this one for an online course if you are a visual learner - need the face to face communication right when a question pops in your head.

    Course highlights:

I thought this would be a breeze for me since I am an Accountant - wrong! This topic covered statements and processes that I have never been exposed to in my professional career and made me aware there are so many other ways to review and analyze financial data. Also learned that I do not want to work in the manufacturing sector! All of the problems were focused on a manufacturing company since every possible scenario arises in this industry for the Accounting functions. Tracking inventory correctly and cost effectively is very time intensive and would seem to take a dedicated person or department to complete it correctly.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Work all the problems!! This is critical to taking the tests. While he did allow us to use our books and open notes, you still must have a good understanding of the problems or you will run out of time.
