    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you're an Engineering or premed major PHYS 1303 Introductory Mechanics is a required course. Whether you like this class or not depends on your learning style. Dr. Blakshivyeva uses powerpoints and briefly goes over the topics but rarely does example problems unless you go into her office hours. She is a wonderful teacher one on one but it's hard in a huge lecture hall to retain all the information necessary, a lot of time spent out of the class on this subject.

    Course highlights:

She is the only physics teacher in the department who allows retakes on her tests. Take advantage.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Lots of studying but rewarding when you understand it.
