    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Son, is hands down, the best professor in the chemistry department at SMU. His lectures are unbelievable well organized. He's the type of professor that explains things so well that you don't need the textbook to actually learn. That isn't to say that the textbook isn't useful--you'll definitely benefit from doing all the practice problems that he recommends at the end of each chapter. In all honesty, if you pay attention and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, you will do fine! Dr. Son's class is pretty hard, I'm not going to lie. However he curves such that an A is generally around 85. But in no way is it unfair: do the work, and make a good effort, and you will get that A!

    Course highlights:

Highlights: using powerpoints and working out problems using his tablet. Learned all the Organic Chemistry that is relevant to standardized tests such as the GRE and MCAT>

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice really is key! If you can do all the suggested problems, and understand what exactly it is you need to do, you will be fine. Be forewarned, he does use multiple choice extensively!
