Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class helped me get out of my shell. It showed me that we all have a hard time speaking in front of our peers and it helped me get over some of those fears.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to better write a speech and how to deliver it, nervous as ever, without showing the whole world how nervous I am.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Remember that we all make mistakes!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As speech is a required course, I did not see myself having much trouble with completing this class, however; I was surprised to find that I had a lot of difficulty speaking in a public setting and working with others by receiving advice and opinions about my presentations. I am very outgoing and friendly but having a crowd stare me down made it complicated to express what i had to say, but the professor made it possible to structure my speech and thoughts to make a concise presentation.

    Course highlights:

This course teaches you a lot about being comfortable with your surroundings in a professional setting, organization and delivery, and working with others on feedback and overall audience appeal. There actually is a reason it is a required course!!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

don't be feverous gong in, but the most important thing is to practice your speech outside of class and in front of other people. This helps you to have an idea of your speech length and helps you understand how your written words end up when spoken.
