Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very interesting class that definitely challenged some previous beliefs I held about the Bible. I'm not yet sure I agree with everything Dr. Mann teaches, but the great thing is, he even says you don't have to agree with him. Overall, it is a good class!

    Course highlights:

I learned not only about the different stories within the first few books of the Bible, but also how to go about reading and interpreting Scripture in general. We started off the semester going backwards through Genesis and it was very interesting to see how everything plays a part in the grand story of God.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the written assignments before every class and get the reading done!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'm not a real theological person, but Arcinega made it an interesting and delightful experience.

    Course highlights:

Just the attention to detail to the scripture put by the professor and the fact you have to question every tradition that your faith sets.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your work. It's not too hard but if you blow it off it sets on you

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend this course with Dr. Mann because it is extremely helpful, educational, and quite enjoyable! The topics are engaging and great not only for understanding the Bible more, but for your personal life with Christ. It shines light on a new way to picture God and His love for His people.

    Course highlights:

The highlights would definitely be discussing the stories we read for homework. We were required to take notes while reading passages and then come together and share our thoughts on what it meant. I learned a lot about God's people and the Israelites that I would have never thought about before or picked up on so well. I enjoyed getting to know Moses in the Bible because he reminded me of how us today can frustrated, or want to tell God that someone else should lead because we're not good enough. He is very relatable and it's comforting to know that God took care of him and led him to great places no matter how many times the man complained. God is a good God and this course definitely highlighted that.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not hesitate to take this course or any course with Dr. Mann. He is such a great professor and really makes your time and money well worth it in his classes! He loves his students and stays organized with his work so that nothing is a surprise for the students. He well prepares students before exams and is always available to listen or email when you need him! I learned a lot because of him, so I'd recommend him any day!
