Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This was the very first class I took as a Liberal Studies major and it was extremely helpful. This class really helps you understand what it takes to be a teacher and everything there is to know about the profession. I loved Dr. Noah because she was so detailed and gave us assignments that stretched our thinking about being a teacher. In this class, you will understand yourself more and will be able to know if you want to go into teaching or not. After taking this class, I definitely knew that I wanted to be a teacher.
One of the best parts of this class is that there is a lab portion called the Teacher Apprentice Program. Students are assigned to a classroom/grade level/ elementary school and visit their designated school once a week. Through this program, students gain 30 or more hours of in the classroom experience by helping elementary students and preparing and teaching two lessons of their own with help from an experienced teacher. This is a huge part of this course and is extremely rewarding in that it enhances your teaching skills and provides you with experience working in a classroom.

Advice for students:
Pay attention in class and stay organized! The work load starts heavy with simple assignments and becomes lighter with bigger projects throughout the semester. This class is fun and encourages future teachers like yourself! :)
