    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are taking a journalism course for the first time, I would not recommend this professor for you. She has lots of experience in the field, but doesn't seem like she has much experience teaching. She can come across and rude and harsh at times. This was the only class where I was required to go to off campus events and write stories about them. She is also a tough grader

    Course highlights:

I learned how to ask thorough questions in this course. The professor does have a lot of knowledge to pass on about the field, as she has written for several big papers. I also learned about when it would be best to use the information that she gave to us. If you make an appointment for her office hours, she is very helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and be prepared for pop quizzes. Make sure you keep up on the reading and take good notes during class. If you have questions about something during the lecture, do not hesitate to ask her.

    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It was super easy and the professor was personable. He would allow us to come talk to him after clas and would set office hours so we could come talk to him about more personal things.

    Course highlights:

He walked out of class during our final in which the whole class looke dumbfounded. Besides that, I learned how to write a story and the functions of the story telling templates. Willis taught us about APA format and what investigative news is and how it works in today's society.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it. If your thinking of not taking it, Take it. It's fun and will help with future journalism assignments.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although the course itself is informative, it is basic and easy to learn. The teacher is awful.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were interviewing people for stories.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do interviews the day you get the assignment and write as often as you can.
