    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is very challenging and really opens you up to the college environment. It is also a very interesting and engaging class. I personally enjoyed it and recommend it to everyone.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about my readiness for college and how much time I really have to put into my work. I also learned a lot more than I ever did in high school chemistry. While I did enjoy the challenge, it also helped me change the type of engineering I planned on doing.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always attend class and be prepared mentally. Take very good notes and listen the lectures. Read a lot and practice with problems at home to understand the formulas and lecture in a better way. Do not procrastinate at all.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course if you honestly want to learn something new and meaningful that will follow you and your career. He really pushes you to actually understand the material and to excel at it. He understands that chemistry can be difficult because he's been through it before.

    Course highlights:

I learned that chemistry is scary but doable. Everyone struggles and that's okay. A big highlight of the course is the use of group assignments to let students ask questions they are too afraid to ask the professor.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Chemistry is hard but the only thing that will help you in this course is active repetition. Do the same kind of problems over and over and go through them step by step and write your own procedure for the problems. And study groups are great. You get to learn with other people's techniques and views and it's very eye-opening and kind of fun.
