    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Although there is ALOT to learn during this abbreviated course, it was very insightful. I enjoyed the on campus lectures as well as the PowerPoint presentations.

    Course highlights:

Basic Geology. Many of the concepts carried me through GEOL 1404 which was very helpful. I was able to gain an appreciation of my surroundings and why certain formations came about. We learn how to classify rocks and minerals as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course was a 7 week course. If at all possible, do not take more than 1 other class with it. It was accelerated but enjoyable when it was my only focus.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course to take if you're a non-science major looking to complete their basics.

    Course highlights:

It is a lot of fun learning about the earth and nature. Most people think it just about rocks but there is a lot more to it than that.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make flash cards and draw pictures, that really helped me raise my test scores.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Black was so nice and had a great sense of humor. He gave substantial amounts of extra credit on each test (up to 15 points) and the worksheets helped you study for the test so it didn't seem like extra work.

    Course highlights:

The professor was extremely thorough and explained all the material in great detail. If you didn't understand he was right there to help. Very knowledgeable and personable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy the book, do the extra credit, ask questions if necessary.
