    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class for science majors because it's really interesting. If you are one of those students who like to know why something happens, or behaves in a certain way within nature, you will learn it throughout this course.

    Course highlights:

I learn how a substance behaves and how adding other component to it will affect their properties. Lab allows the student to apply what you learn during lecture.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to classes, pay attention to lectures but mostly do your homework. If you can't solve a problem, use office hours or if you have something else during that period, you can also get tutoring on campus. They are really helpful when you can not see your professor.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course prepares you for organic chemistry.

    Course highlights:

The quizzes, although dreaded by most, really kept me on my toes and up to date with studying current material.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to study powerpoints. The book was not used as much but it has some great problems that could be used for practice. Complete homework ahead of schedule in case you have questions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If a student is a nursing major, this class is imperative to take. So, I would recommend taking it, just because it's a prerequisite to get into any desired nursing program.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how to balance chemical equations, and seeing how various chemicals pertain to my everyday living.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay focused and don't get discouraged. This class is tough. But it's also simple. Don't overthink, because if you do, you'll only confuse yourself.
