Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I really enjoyed my technical writing course with Professor Miller. The course itself appealed to me from the start because I enjoy technical writing already, but Professor Miller made it even better. She has been one of best, if not the best professor I have had at TCC. She sets clear expectations, is always available for help, and enjoys following up with her students on their progress through school and life even after the class is over. The class itself is set up where you build on your learning as you work on a presentation that will ultimately be your final project. Before the technical writing course, I had taken Professor Miller's English composition class and she was amazing there too

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed working on the final project throughout the class and even the class presentations when we were finished. One of the highlights was the module on resumes. I have created several resumes throughout my life so I had a pretty good idea of what to do. However, I learned several tips regarding formatting and content that made my resume even better.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class, ask questions, and take pride in your finished project. The more work and effort you put into it, the more beneficial you will find the process.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took this class online and I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of extra credit opportunities and only one collab assignment. The schedule was very clear and the content was not difficult. Everything that we learned was actually applicable in the work force.

    Course highlights:

In my opinion the highlight of this class is that lack of weekend work. Some teacher assign work on the weekends but not for this class. I learned how to write memos, something I really needed to learn.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed make sure you check the calendar often. Like more than once a day and BUY THE BOOK!!! The book gets used maybe three times a week and a lot of the answers are in the book as well as the assignments given. Also there are some pictures that you have to refer to as templates, trust me just get the book.
