Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Tucker was super awesome teacher. He put things into a college student's perspective, which overall made things easier to understand.

    Course highlights:

Throughout school years I have taken history classes and gained little if anything from them. Until I took this class, I could hardly retain any information that had to do with U.S. history. Not only did I learn a lot from this course, I was able to grasp what it meant to me as an American.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it seriously. It was not just a "blow off" class. Take the notes, study, and do your best. If you put the effort in you are sure to pass with an A!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because I not only gained knowledge about the subject but I also learned how to study and other things that have bettered me in my other classes.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for this class in my opinion where when I got to learn not only from the professor but also from my classmates. Another highlight would be the way the tests where done.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You can not go into this class thinking you can do stuff the night before or not study. You have to put in time and studying is definitely a must.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Olivier makes her lessons engaging and they are typically in several formats. I have learned so much about American history from her. The skills professor Olivier taught can be used in other classes as well. Olivier is dedicated to student success and very helpful.

    Course highlights:

The dates of events are not considered nearly as important as the significance of the event. Professor Olivier wanted to make sure we understood why a particular event was important. Often she would share details much of the class had never heard. She was also happy to answer questions and elaborate.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you cite anything that is not considered common knowledge; you will lose several points if you don't properly cite. Keep on top of the homework, there is a considerable amount. For the quizzes, only read the pages highlighted on the questions (the quiz is open book.) Take advantage of the extra credit opportunities.
