Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The campus is strict depending on where you live. West Campus, which is fairly close to campus, it is kind of a free range. The police patrol over there but there aren't usually any party busts. If you live on Riverside, then the police are more strict about partying over there.

    Course highlights:

The social life is what you make of it. You can go downtown to the main bar area which is 6th or you can go to different clubs in the downtown area. Or you can go out to restaurants and have fun or even a concert.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I think that's one of the best things about UT. There is so much variety and diversity amongst the population. Dress code is kind of whatever you feel comfortable wearing. Austin is pretty liberal so it's prob been seen before and doesn't shock anyone.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While UT wasn't my dream school, I am SO glad I chose to be here. Perhaps admissions officers are wiser than us, since they select us where we would be a good fit. At UT, I feel challenged and I feel like I fit in.

    Course highlights:

I found a variety of organizations and friends that make me feel like I am part of a community, I also feel like I am learning and on track to get to my desired career. Apart from that, Austin is a really great city. Choosing UT was definitely one of the best experiences of my life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I love that we have many resources and I feel capable of achieving something great in my lifetime. I am a much different person from the one that came into the university - already, after just one semester.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I don't live on campus so I don't actually know what it's like to live in a dorm, but I know that the main benefits are how close it is to classes and the social aspect it provides when living so close to other students.

    Course highlights:

It's great because it allows a lot of students to make connections and friends that will last a lifetime, but it can also be a little negative as it does create obvious cliques and stereotypes that really need to stop existing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's also outrageously expensive, but what isn't when it comes to college.I don't know a lot about Greek life because I'm not very involved in it, but it plays a huge part socially on campus. On the flip side, the bathrooms are usually communal.
