    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You don't need to have any programming experience before coming to this course, although it might work better if you do a little. The professor provides a ton of exercises and practice tests to prepare you for his tests. His tests are pretty challenging and encourage you to think outside the box, there is no formula or method to follow, is just the way you think and execute your problem-solving skills that will help you get through the course.

    Course highlights:

This course teaches you about how a computer is built, logic gates, bus drives, machine code, and assembly language. You get to write 5 interesting programs. I learned how all programming languages go through a compiler so the computer can understand all the words from your program and execute accordingly. I also learned assembly language together with machine code, and how those codes are transferred in the bus.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Pick a programming language to learn before coming to the class. It will make everything smoother. When taking his tests, relax and take a deep breath, try to learn how your professor thinks and what is he asking from you to do on the test.
