    Course Overview:

    The tests werent too awful if you studied, but the homework and clicker questions for a grade made the class hard. Hickenbottom wasn't the best at getting information across

    Course highlights:

    I learned about time management and studying, but not much about economics.

    Make sure you're aware of what ours getting yourself in to and put work in and then you will be fine. Work with other students and study, but don't expect an a.

    Course Overview:

    This course consists of reading and lots of practice problems. To do well in this course, you must be willing to take good notes in the lecture, read the chapters, and thoroughly do practice problems and homework assignments.

    Course highlights:

    In this class, you will learn about the decisions of buyers and sellers in the economy, and factors that influence their decisions. You will also learn about how to solve economic problems and how to ensure the economy is producing at a efficient level, that is the most beneficial to the economy.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    To do well, you will have to read the chapters, and practice and understand the practice problems. Solving practice problems will help to do better on the midterms.

    Course Overview:

    For many, this is a required course. So recommendation or not, you're most likely going to take it. Many people, however, feel that Hickenbottom is the hardest of the professors for this course. While I didn't have other professors for comparison, I'd say they were probably right. It was an average work load compared to other core curriculum, with a pretty heavy emphasis on studying. Attendance is practically mandatory if you want to do well and you MUST do well on the final. All things considered, I still made a 4.0. If you're naturally good at econ, this shouldn't be too big of a stress. If not, I'd probably look for an easier professor.

    Course highlights:

    - Worst Dad jokes in history - One small movie clip - Good TA's (except for Victoria) - Lot's of TA study sessions (I didn't go too often, but they're an excellent tool when you're really struggling) - Close walk to Jester/Prather/Roberts/Moore-Hill/San Jacinto - Right next to the PCL (the most B. A. Library on campus)

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Don't be afraid and don't be too lazy. As long as you put in the work, you will see the fruits of your labor. There is a heavy emphasis on the tests, so I would highly recommend studying along the way and studying hard. I found that a healthy balance of studying along and with friends did the trick. Even if you slack a little in the first couple tests, the final can really bring you up, you gotta do well on the final.
