Not too easy. Not too difficult.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is pretty straight forward, the lectures are pretty bland, but you will mostly learn more by studying on your own.

    Course highlights:

I learned that this professor is very blunt. She will make you feel dumb for asking questions but don't let this stop you entirely.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study study! Don't assume you know the topics and lay off the readings. I also would suggest watching videos if you don't know the subject. Since the professor rarely hands out sheets or supplementary items, it is necessary that you find some supplement to this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for people that are more concerned with actually learning about the subject than about getting a good grade in the class. Dr. Walker is great at tying the material learned in the class to real-world situations.

    Course highlights:

A highlight of this course was the thermodynamics unit. It tied all the units together and so when you studied for the thermo unit test (the last unit exam), it was like you were studying for the final as well. And another more broad highlight of this course was that it helped me improve my study habits and "learn how to learn".

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You should always do as well on the homeworks as you can and try to rack up as many points as possible because it makes your life much less stressful towards the end of the semester. That being said, do not kick yourself too hard when you do not do as well on an assignment or whatever--you will have many chances to redeem yourself throughout the semester as long as you try your best all throughout it. Also listen to Dr. Walker carefully, she'll sometimes give hints to questions and she'll also give important information throughout the lectures, but many students do not listen and, therefore, miss out on some valuable information.
