    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For the Spring semester, this class is probably your best bet.

    Course highlights:

Genetics was very interesting but really hard.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

For the molecules to organisms class, the grades for this course was comprised of five test (including the final) each worth 20% of your overall grade. Do not worry my friend. Professor Batterton offers to replace your quiz average for your lowest test grade. So, study well for those quizzes. As for the test, it consists of multiple choice (some are true and false) and free-response. There is a lot of material covered in each of the test so I would focus on the vocabulary as well as things that he stresses on during class. The multiple choice can be as simple as a vocabulary question or an application problem, which requires a higher understanding of the material. Moreover, I would consider having a study group and dedicate a good amount of time in "predicting" the free-response. Go to discussions if you have a good TA like I did.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Fantastic class, and even more fantastic teacher. Dr. Theriot is very compelling and it is obvious how much he cares about the course material. The course isn't easy but through effort and studying, it isn't difficult to make an A, overall i would highly recommend this course!

    Course highlights:

I learned lots about different algal organisms, especially Dr. Theriot's specialty, Diatoms. The course has 4 tests, no final, and attendance in discussion is mandatory, other than that there are no other grades.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the book, as well as his powerpoint slides. He is interesting but often glosses over test materials.
