    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is split up into three lecture periods and one discussion section. There was a lot of work required for this class, such as reading and weekly homeworks due in discussion periods. Often times I would not have adequate time to study for an exam in this class because I was too busy doing the other homework assigned for this class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the professors, specifically Dr. Banner. Banner cares about the material in the course, and his lectures were very interactive and engaging. He was always helpful during his office hours. Dr. Allen was also a nice guy, though I never went to his office hours and don't know anything about how helpful he is. However, for the last exam, he went out of his way to provide answers to the study guides that were provided to help us out. So, the professors are amazing resources in the class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid to ask questions and go to office hours, for both the professors and the TAs. There are up to 10 bonus points you can receive on the final exam, and if you miss the deadline to get the 10 points, you can always ask for help because the instructors want you to do well. There is also a semester long project that is due at the end of the semester, and there are several fun and engaging activities that you can participate in. Do not wait until the last minute to complete the portfolio.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class gives a general overview of the medical field, and is thus a great course for anyone who intends to go into any part of the medical field.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of this course was going to the LBJ presidential library. The main reason we did this was because it tied into the paper on the ACA we were writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are able to think intelligently on the concepts discussed in this course, and you are willing to share these ideas, then you will do great in this course.
