This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I personally didn't enjoy this class because it was overly theoretical and didn't really touch on most actual data analysis. It seemed more suited to computer scientists and not very useful for biology but you might get a lot out of it if you're a different sort of learner.
Course highlights:
The whole class sort of relied on students having mathematical skill and "intuition" so there wasn't that much taught in it, mostly just theorems that we are expected to understand immediately.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Get a basis in theoretical math before going into this; otherwise, you'll fall far behind.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
