Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You learn a whole bunch about african american culture. As a white guy I found the class very engaging and there was a very diverse student body which led to great discussions with various viewpoints. Professor Berry really cares about the course content; she's even written books on slavery, and will keep you very engaged.

    Course highlights:

The films we got to watch were very eye opening; not to mention learning about parts of history that are typically skimmed over due to the appalling way African Americans were treated, which was as chattel (property, like livestock)

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes! Especially on dates and numbers.. Dr Berry will let you know what is important. GO TO CLASS and PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSIONS DURING CLASS. Also ask questions, the Professor will love you.
