    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very tough class. The professor makes it even more challenging, but you will learn. He is very knowledgeable, and the class prepares you for future biochem classes.

    Course highlights:

Lots of stuff to help. Plus and canvas assignments help reinforce contents.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get behind. Stay ahead. Go to class

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class really tested my abilities as a student. I entered this class with a solid background in chemistry and have had to really work hard to survive. Class averages on exams sit in the low 60s, but the homework and quiz points that she gives out can bring your class average almost a letter grade up. If you work really hard you should be able to get a B in her class. It is definitely harder than some of the other biochem courses at UT, however. Expect to teach yourself since Dr. Stovall teaches by reading off of the powerpoint slides with minimal explanations.

    Course highlights:

Most of all, I learned how to teach myself as well as gain a greater appreciation for biochemistry.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take the first exam lightly. Make sure you study like you have never studied before, because the exams get progressively harder as the semester progresses.

Definitely recommend! Hoffman is super friendly and offers great explanations.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were seeing how biochemistry is so relevant to healthcare.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with material and always do homework.
