    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher gave great lectures, that were always interesting and thorough. I was able to write notes about each of the novels, and despite us reading seven books throughout the course of the semester, I didn't feel rushed or like I was scrambling to hurry up and read.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the deeper analysis of books. The highlight of the course was reading and analyzing more modern novels, such as Weight and Station Eleven. Furthermore, I also thought the course put an emphasis on seeing a lot of different ideas in a short amount of text as our tests consisted of analyzing quotations and finding at least four or five different points about them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend taking as many notes as you can during the big lectures. Professor Malin really knows what he's talking about and he emphasizes a lot of key themes and ideas in lecture. Also, I would recommend talking to your TAs. The first test is a bit hard to grasp, and the TAs are always willing to talk and give feedback, and their feedback really helps.
