Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is fun and challenging, and it has plenty of opportunity to pursue topics within Architectural Engineering that are of interest to you. You'll learn a ton about visual communication and get a lot more comfortable with Revit. Most of the semester, the assignments will be able to be completed during class time, which is great.

    Course highlights:

I gained a solid foundation in using Revit, and I became much more familiar with architectural engineering as a career path. We spent a lot of time researching exciting projects around the world and attending lectures by professionals from a wide range of specializations and firms. I definitely felt a lot better prepared to start looking at jobs and internships due to this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Professor Brooks is easy-going and friendly, but don't take that for granted. He will know if you're slacking. Also, a group project makes up a huge part of the second half of the course, so be ready to work really closely with your classmates.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is a year long class taught by Brooks, and you will spend more time working on these projects than you have spent on any other class. However, in the end you'll know to use Revit, understand how the architecture, structural, and mechanical systems come together, and have gained connections with other students who will help support you through other classes.

    Course highlights:

You will master the use of Revit. Other classes will go in depth with different systems and components of buildings. This class will show you how it comes together.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Spend the time it takes for you do finish your projects to the standard you want because in the end it is your project and it is something you can show off to recruiters and interviewers.
