    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Our homework was limited to very few questions from Stewart Calculus. Unfortunately, the tests would be comprised of very few free response questions that rarely resembled what we'd done in the homework. While the workload was light in terms of daily homework, the tests were a mixed bag in term of what to expect and were therefore very difficult to prepare for.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was that it was the first one in which I utilized resources such as my TA's office hours or the CalcLab, and the fact the these all helped me get an A on my second test after getting a substantially lower grade on my first test. I learned that I don't have to go it alone when a class gets tough and that the university truly does have a wealth of resources, especially for a class as large as 408D.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely spend more time on mastering the concepts as opposed to just getting your homework done. Being able to solve a select few homework problems simply for a specific answer won't really help you when you're sitting at the test with a completely different free response question.
