    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Quite a bit of work and a lot of memorization, but Meighan gives us so many practice tests that if you do them all and understand the logic behind each question, you will do fine on the class itself. Weekly quizzes are a lot easier, given that he gives you a pool of potential questions to study from.

    Course highlights:

I loved this class! You will learn a lot about functional animal parts (through dissections), and will learn a lot about genetics and the like in the first part of the course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely try to get a full score on the quizzes, since they add up. But the main thing is to do all the practice tests and fully understand them. He doesn't change the tests up too much.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this course unless it is a requirement for your major. They cram so much material into such a short amount of time, so it is really difficult for you to truly learn what you are studying. You find yourself simply cramming too much material for the exams and then never retaining the information.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the hands on learning experience. We were able to observe certain organisms through microscopes and study their interaction with other organisms, hosts, and parasites. Also, being able to work with others in the lab setting was helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make friends, create study groups, go to office hours. Supplement what you learn in class with reading the book. Talk with other students and get ideas about how to study the material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this class unless it is a requirement for your major. It is difficult to actually learn the material because they cram so much into a short amount of time. I prefer classes that I can actually take the time to learn.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the hands on learning. We were able to observe the organisms we were studying, and watch how they interact with hosts and parasites. We were also able to work together in the lab and hear different ideas from our peers.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make friends, create study groups, work together towards a common goal. Use resources outside of the classroom to enhance your learning experience. Read the book, go to your professor or professor's aid for help when you don't understand something.
